David Grandouiller

is a French-American writer and editor from Ohio, living in Lyon. His essay, "On Communion," was a finalist for the 2019 Orison Anthology Award in Nonfiction, and a group of his essays won the 2019 Walter Rumsey Marvin Grant from the Ohioana Library Association. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The Ohio State University, and his work appears in The Rumpus, The Millions, Essay Daily, and elsewhere. David is working on a collection of essays about the history of flight and failures of intimacy in spiritual, romantic, and community life.
